The North Texas Accelerator, presented in partnership with the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth, prepares rising leaders to operate effectively across civic, economic, and global systems. Through training, mentorship, and applied learning, participants build the insight, relationships, and confidence needed to lead.
The Accelerator combines regional civic leadership training with a global perspective — offering a state-of-the-art program unlike any other in North Texas.

The North Texas Accelerator operates as a selective, cohort-based program focused on developing well-rounded civic and business leaders.
Participants engage in curated sessions that blend civic education, regional systems, global affairs, and applied learning. Through the partnership with the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth, the program connects local leadership to broader global and economic context — helping participants understand how decisions ripple across communities, institutions, and markets.

The North Texas Accelerator runs on a defined annual cycle aligned with the Texas civic calendar and organizational programming. Each cohort begins in September and concludes in May, allowing participants to engage deeply while balancing professional commitments.
Applications open each March and close in June. The inaugural cohort’s applications will open in March 2026, with the first cohort launching in September 2026.
Partnership and sponsorship opportunities are available only organizations committed to leadership development and regional vitality. Opportunities are limited to preserve the quality, focus, and integrity of the Accelerator.
